Yes, it's raining. All day. I was amped. I decided I wanted to do a five kilometre mad dash, regardless. Of course I wanted to see if anyone was crazy enough to join me. Yes!
These were the rules. Everyone ran as fast as they could, and those back to the house first would run back to the one furthest from the house, do a circle around them, and go back to the house. . .twice if they had to.
My mentor ended up circling the mullethead once, and I once, though me and the mullethead ended up running back together, not that there was much distance left.
After we got back to the house, the mullethead ran to the back yard, and my mentor signalled me to follow her, as he was on her heels. She ran to the pasture, and as soon as I got to a part with sparse grass, I got somewhat tackled by the mullethead.
Well, there went the mud wrestling match we didn't have yesterday. It was hilarious. My mentor joined us, and we had a three-way, of making this huge mess of each other with tossed mud balls, and rolling around in the puddles.
What's adulthood? What's maturity? Gods, we laughed so hard.
I swear, the rain almost cleaned us up of everything before we got back to the house. We went in via the stables, and shed our sopping clothes and shoes in the first room of the stables where we had to hose, and where the equines were more or less taught to go to the bathroom.
That was fun. Being we only had two showers, me and the mullethead shared one, and we talked about doing that again some time. Perhaps in May.
