Today, me and my mentor decided spur of the moment to wash down the walls, floors and windows of all the unused rooms, and mullethead mowed the lawn. The windows were a bitch, and the mullethead actually finished before we did, and helped us with the last two rooms. It was four weeks earlier than we'd planned, but hey! We were in the mood. After, we cleaned up, and went to town just for din-din.
Chinese. We bought two large mixed veggie stir fry for each equine, and we bought enough to probably feed us for three days in take-away. We wanted to eat at home. We also bought a keg of Virgil's root beer, and a. . .damn these U.S. measurements. . .a gallon of Martinelli's unfiltered apple juice for each equine, as well. Needless to say, we racked up quite a bill, but hey! With two months cut off from our stay, we had a bit of extra money in the reserves, so what the feck?!
It was work, but it was a fun day. For the first day, I think I was glad it wasn't raining. We did what we could on cleaning the outsides of the windows, as well. We weren't about to use scaffolding on the upstairs, so those weren't done completely, but they looked a Hell of a lot better than before.
I did wonder if by chance my next volume would go up this weekend, but I wasn't in the state I would have been in a few months ago, being I knew for a fact my presence was no longer required for the task to finish completion. I was mentally free. I was also a lot happier for that state of mind.
As for getting the equines out of here in late April, I wonder if my mentor insisted on that because he saw a problem with the radiation? Unlike me, he wasn't trapped in time. I can't remember if I'd posted that somewhere. He knew everything that was going to happen, but I wasn't privy to that information, because I allegedly asked not to be before I got here. And the mullethead was still 'mortal flotsam' until we took her with us, so she obviously couldn't know yet, and like Hell my mentor was going to tell her anything before her time.
I still wondered why it was OK for me to do a furlough when my mentor took the equines home, though? Well, it was only a month away. I could live with that without ripping my hair out, figuratively speaking.
The Japan thing was going pretty badly, though.
A reminder to you guys. After the transition, most of you will find a whole new set of rules; and you will wonder why you clung to the Physical Plane as you did, in no time. There's also the fact that if you really want to be reborn to come back, that can be arranged. Not my cup of tay, but people do it all the time. Existence goes on. Transition is rarely pleasant, but after it's over, it's over. You will have the chance to 'wake up'. Though I must say, I think if you prefer to reincarnate, not only are you still asleep, you're bleedin' COMATOSE!!!!!!!!!!!
